Description
Upgrading the NIU NGT for more performance requires more than just a battery swap. Because the NGT is originally designed as a dual-battery scooter, the upgrade path involves several components that must work together:
1. Battery Upgrade
To unlock more power, the NGT must be upgraded to a 72V performance battery.
72V Extended Range & Performance Battery (180–200KM)
2. Controller Upgrade
The stock controller is not compatible with 72V. A new controller is required, and we recommend our Bluetooth programmable controller, which allows you to fine-tune performance.

3. Harness Replacement
Since the NGT runs a dual-battery system, there is no direct controller upgrade available. You will need to replace the main system harness, which connects and manages the scooter’s internal electronics.

4. ECU Upgrade
The ECU (Electronic Control Unit) also needs upgrading. With the new ECU, you can unlock additional features, such as using a key to unlock your bike instead of relying only on the ignition switch.
