Add a second battery to your NIU scooter
This NIU scooter dual battery accessory connects two compatible batteries of the same voltage so they can supply a supported NIU scooter together. Choose the N/U-Series or M-Series version that matches your scooter. Extra capacity can extend riding range; performance also depends on the controller and complete battery setup.
What the accessory does
- Lets two compatible batteries supply the scooter without swapping them during a ride
- Adds usable battery capacity for longer trips
- Allows charging through the scooter port when the complete battery and charging setup supports it
- Includes a diode as part of the specified dual-battery wiring arrangement
Check compatibility before installation
Both batteries must have matching voltage and suitable capacity, BMS and charging characteristics. The diode does not make mismatched or faulty batteries safe to connect. Use the supplied hardware and instructions; do not connect two batteries directly.
Installation overview
- Turn off the scooter, open the trunk and remove its four securing screws.
- Locate the controller’s red and black cables and disconnect them as instructed.
- Connect the original red cable to side “3” of the accessory.
- Connect the supplied short cable to side “1”, then to the red controller connection.
- Connect the supplied second-battery plug to the controller’s red and black connections as shown in the guide.
- Secure the connections and follow the supplied checks before using the second battery.
Battery use
Avoid a large difference in charge level between the batteries. The accessory is designed for a suitable two-battery configuration; follow the supplied instructions before riding or charging with only one battery connected.

Vóór de dubbele connector (50)ah wilde het 10 procent om 10 km te halen, heel gemakkelijk te berekenen en nu 80 ah kostte het slechts 8 procent om 9 km te halen! Met alleen originele 29ah kostte het 28% om 13 km te krijgen! Totale afstand weet ik nog niet echt! Ik denk dat de app meer gegevens nodig heeft om te berekenen, het kostte wat tijd om enig verschil te zien toen 50ah werd geïnstalleerd! En over het algemeen is het zo veel leuker!

Before the double connector (50)ah it wanted 10 procent to get 10 km, very easy to calculate and now 80 ah it took just 8 procent to get 9 km ! With only original 29ah it took 28% to get me 13 km! Total distance I don’t really know yet! I think the app needs more data to calculate, it took some time to see any difference when 50ah was installed! And overall it’s so much more fun!
